BIO: Guido Perla began with drums in 1981, at age five and played his first professional gig at age seventeen. Since then he has been steadily involved with music mainly as a drummer, but also as a songwriter, drum instructor and engineer/producer. He has adopted a range to his style, playing and recording with a number of local (Seattle) and touring bands and musicians such as: Jazz violinist Michael White, Jazz double-bassists Jeff Johnson and James Whiton. Aside from being on-call as a freelance drummer, he is currently playing and writing music with the Roots-Reggae band Little Big Man and with a Jazz/Latin/Funk project called The Trio. In addition to performing, recording and teaching as a drummer, Guido has recently joined forces with nationally recognized producer Mike Jantho to create Night Owl Studios in Seattle, WA. Guido's heart is in the music that has heart, and this is evident in his playing.
